There is still a need for ELD teachers - for sure. I know if you are
bilingual in Spanish/English, you become a hot commodity - this is true in
Santa Ana as well as dozens of other districts in So. Cal. Even with all
the budget cut scare, I think there is still a lot of opportunity for
someone with you niche.
I read someone from Canada asking about teaching here. I wouldn't
recommend the same to her, unfortunately. If you were coming here for a
straight elementary position, I would say the job market is tight - Single-
Subject English - Spanish Bilingual - experienced - prospects are bright.
