    Post: Re: BTSA-Beginning Teacher Support

    Posted by ltr on 7/25/08

My position was approved and accepted by my school district
last night and I sign my contract next week. This enormous
teacher packet included the following. The NCLB (2004)
Teacher Requirements for Certificate of Compliance.
    Question 1. I have a bachelor's degree
    2. I have an appropriate California Credential
    3. I have passed a CCTC approv. subj. matter exam
(For Multiple Subject self-contained classrooms teachers
must also pass the RICA exam.)
Another form is the BTSA-New Teacher Information form and
written in the middle of the form in bold italicized letters
for "New" to the profession of teaching
It is your responsibility to enter an induction program
within 120 days of employment. Your signature on this
document confirms that you understand this requirement. You
will receive information regarding the District BTSA
Induction Program as well as an invitation to attend a BTSA
    Induction orientation meeting.
Since I completed my BTSA 2003-2005 and gave a copy of my
completion form from the county office of education. Good luck
