I'm originally from Oklahoma and wish I could go back. California has
been my home for a long time but it's just too "out" there for me. I'm
more small town, conservative. I've also read articles about how
California's teaching colleges are pushing humanistic ideology,
student-centered teaching rather than teacher directed. I just have a
different philosophy.
