I am from San Diego and have tried unsuccessfully to get a job
in California for three years. I have relocated to Colorado and
now Arizona (nicer weather). In the future I may try Hawaii. If
you can go anywhere keep in mind your best chance will be in a
rural district or very big city like New York, Las Vegas, or
Oakland. I have experienced job security because I too can move
anywhere and am willing to work in a less desirable, healthy,
active community TEMPORARILY until I find my dream town. Hawaii
does have a need for SPED teachers. I wish you well!
